First of all Ramzan Mubarak to all my readers who observe the holy month of Ramzan! Not so long ago I got my hands on the much-hyped sheet masks by a Korean brand- The Face Shop (Redeemed the buy 5 get 5 by nykaa xd). After having used it, I totally understand the hype around it. They’re extremely affordable, work really well, no over the top claims. Unlike my other reviews, I am going to start off with a brief description of the product, its claims and directions to use it.
Mask Name: Real Nature Peony Face Mask
Claims: The mask sheet drenched in serum with the vibrant life energy of Peony provides skin with illuminating radiance. (Drenched in smooth serum with oil/Formula without added parabens)
Directions: 1. Wash face and apply toner- Do this every time before using any face mask. 2. Pull out the mask and carefully place on face. 3. Remove after 10-15 minutes and pat face lightly to absorb remaining essence into the skin. DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE AFTER REMOVING THE MASK otherwise it just devoids the purpose.
My experience and review:
So the pack has one mask which can be used once and it is completely drenched in serum. It has a pleasant smell, nothing very strong (I am not really sure if it is that of the peony flower because I have never smelled the flower) and very soothing. The pack has directions in English too which helped me understand as to how to use the mask since it is my first time with these. The mask fit my face very well, it doesn’t feel heavy on the face and has A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of serum. There is excess serum in the pack too which you can apply to your neck, hands, shoulders or wherever you want to.
In the first use itself my skin felt refreshed and illuminated (like the claims of this one) and the glow lasted for a good 4-5 hours and you need to use it regularly to see a considerable difference in your skin. This is great for people with dry skin. I have a combination to oily skin type so it did not look much appealing on me. This mask totally gets my thumbs up!
The Real Nature category retails for Rs. 100 in India and is a super affordable option to include in your skin care routine.
That’s about it! Tell me what you think about the review and the masks in the comments below!
P.S. I accidentally deleted my picture of wearing the sheet mask. I will probably click a picture when I use the next one (that is going to be tomorrow so keep watching that space) and post it on my instagram- @disha_towardsthefashionworld so you can see how it fits on the face!
Kajal is a must have and your go-to makeup to brighten up an otherwise dull face. We are so obsessed with it that not wearing it for one day makes people wonder if something’s seriously wrong with us! While searching for an affordable kajal that I can use for daily wear I stumbled upon this Kajal Pencil by coloressence. In this post, I will be reviewing the Coloressence Kajal Pencil. I have been using it since a while now and will give you an account of what I feel about the product.
Priced at Rs.145, this Kajal Pencil is enriched with the goodness of Ayurvedic formula, hence making it suitable for everyone to use. It has a square shaped body which makes it very convenient to hold and glide on to the eyes. It has a really soft stroke and has a cooling effect. It gives a thick dark stroke in a single swipe helping you define your eyes well.
However, the Kajal has failed to impress me as it does not stay for long and smudges within minutes of application making your eyes look extremely shabby. Kajal smears all around your eyes and you will see dark circles under your eyes. In my opinion, it isn’t worth spending your money on.
Extremely smooth and gives a thick black stroke.
Suitable for everyone since it has an ayurvedic formula.
Glide on once and you are good to go.
Smudges within minutes making face look shabby.
Does not stay for more than 1-2 hours.
I have a number of reviews lined up for you guys. Stay tuned!
Hey guys!! M.A.C. is on Nyka and I couldn’t be more excitedddd! I’m a sucker for lipsticks, especially bold matte shades! Now that M.A.C. is on nyka I’ve put together 15 shades out of 30-ish shades of matte lipsticks suitable for the Indian skin tone(’twas a tough time selecting these)! I’m not a fan of orange lipsticks or lipsticks with orange undertones, so you won’t find any lipstick with an orange pigmentation in this list. I’ve carefully selected them going through innumerable swatch videos of each lipstick available on nyka to make sure that every lipstick I mention here complements the Indian skin tone well.
That’s exactly how I ended up creating this look! The top has speckles of metallic on it and I badly wanted to pair it with a metallic jeans but I also wanted to wear it asap! Now that I wasn’t able to buy myself a metallic jeans(no time) and I just couldn’t wait to try on the top, I wore it with my evergreen skinny jeans! The result is for you to see:
Here I have paired a sky blue coloures flared top having metallic speckles around the neck with my denim jeans.
To keep the look very much in sync with the current metallic trend I have worn a metallic cuff bracelet and a metal watch embellished with stones. For the neck I have worn a multi layered chain in darker shades of blue to uplift the mood of the outfit.
I am back after a really long time (sorry for that) with a pop of colour! I really haven’t snapped out of the summer mood yet and since you can’t predict the weather these days this pretty much makes for a go to outfit for such an unpredictable weather!
Here I have paired a striped black and white tank top with a sea green coloured jeans. To add more colour to the outfit I chose to wear a bright pink cardigan over the top, instantly lifts the mood adding life to the outfit. Since I’d prefer wearing something like this to college or for shopping I chose to wear flat sandals very much in sync with the outfit.
For the hair I have tied a messy top-knot bun which was perfect considering the mood of the outfit and for the accessories I have worn a simple chain with a funky locket attached and, oh yes, my star studded ear ! 😉
Here are a few more pictures giving a closer look!
This, because my friends say I have the perfect pout and also gives a closer look of the chain!

Denim, I believe, is a trend that is evergreen. It suits everyone well, be it a man or a woman, thin or stout, tall or short. When we talk denim, it’s not possible that we don’t talk the colour white. The white and denim combination is like an eternal love saga.
Here I have paired a white top from W with a mid rise slim tapered acid washed jeans from flying machine. I have half tucked in the shirt and left out the remaining half giving it a chic look. Wearing wedges with jeans is a great way to flaunt those beauties! 😉
I have kept the accessories minimal with a silver metallic cuff bracelet and a white rose shaped ceramic ring on one hand and have left the other hand empty. Keeping it simple yet stylish, I have matched the colour of my bucket bag and wedges. To give it a more formal look a high pony can be sported!

Fusion is very much in trend these days. Be it as simple a look of pairing an Indian Kurti with jeans or pairing antique jewellery with a western outfit to give that boho chic look. It’s there everywhere in the present fashion scenario. Hence, I too decided to give it a shot.
Here I have paired a denim shirt with a flared long skirt. It is a cotton skirt (making it a great option for summers) with kalamkari print. The knot at the bottom of the shirt gave the outfit a smart look. However, another alternative could be to tuck it in.
The one thing that breathes life into the look are these beautiful statement antique temple jewellery jhumkas. Those little round balls at the bottom are ‘ghunghroo’ which give out a melodious sound as you walk just as a payal does.
I decided to leave my hair open, however, a bun would compliment the look better. Also, twirling is the new cool ! 😉 For the accessories I have worn a spiral bracelet in red/yellow colour on one hand and a beautiful metal watch embellished with stones on the other.
