Faces Magneteyes Kajal Review

Greetings Ladies,

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi! Hope you are all doing well and eating a lot of Laddus. Recently, I got my hands on the Faces Magneteyes Kajal and this post is a review of the same.

The product comes in a bright red colored twist pen and is priced at Rs. 175 for 0.35g of product.

Product Claims:

  • Waterproof
  • Smudge proof
  • Lasts All Day

My experience with the product: The kajal goes down in the pen as easily as it twists up. It has a smooth creamy texture making the application soft and comfortable. You have to layer it twice or thrice to get a well defined black line on the lash line. Though it claims to be smudge proof, the product smudges A LOT and looks really shabby, especially if you have oily skin. It lightens a little after application but the remaining kajal stays on for a really long time. Even after you’ve washed your face, until tomorrow, traces are still there. I’ve even experienced itching on the inner corner of my eye on application. I think this varies from person to person.  In all, it isn’t something great or different to ditch your existing Kajal for this.

  1. Smooth application
  2. Affordable
  3. Long Lasting
  4. Twisting Pen

  1. Smudges a lot.
  2. Lightens
  3. Requires layering for a defined line.

That’s about it for this post guys! If you’ve used this, tell me your experience with it in the comments below.

The Face Shop sheet masks review

Greetings readers,

First of all Ramzan Mubarak to all my readers who observe the holy month of Ramzan! Not so long ago I got my hands on the much-hyped sheet masks by a Korean brand- The Face Shop (Redeemed the buy 5 get 5 by nykaa xd). After having used it, I totally understand the hype around it. They’re extremely affordable, work really well, no over the top claims. Unlike my other reviews, I am going to start off with a brief description of the product, its claims and directions to use it.

Mask Name: Real Nature Peony Face Mask

Claims: The mask sheet drenched in serum with the vibrant life energy of Peony provides skin with illuminating radiance. (Drenched in smooth serum with oil/Formula without added parabens)

Directions: 1. Wash face and apply toner- Do this every time before using any face mask. 2. Pull out the mask and carefully place on face. 3. Remove after 10-15 minutes and pat face lightly to absorb remaining essence into the skin. DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE AFTER REMOVING THE MASK otherwise it just devoids the purpose.

My experience and review:

So the pack has one mask which can be used once and it is completely drenched in serum. It has a pleasant smell, nothing very strong (I am not really sure if it is that of the peony flower because I have never smelled the flower) and very soothing. The pack has directions in English too which helped me understand as to how to use the mask since it is my first time with these. The mask fit my face very well, it doesn’t feel heavy on the face and has A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of serum. There is excess serum in the pack too which you can apply to your neck, hands, shoulders or wherever you want to.

In the first use itself my skin felt refreshed and illuminated (like the claims of this one) and the glow lasted for a good 4-5 hours and you need to use it regularly to see a considerable difference in your skin. This is great for people with dry skin. I have a combination to oily skin type so it did not look much appealing on me. This mask totally gets my thumbs up!

Zoom In to read all the deets!

The Real Nature category retails for Rs. 100 in India and is a super affordable option to include in your skin care routine.

That’s about it! Tell me what you think about the review and the masks in the comments below!

P.S. I accidentally deleted my picture of wearing the sheet mask. I will probably click a picture when I use the next one (that is going to be tomorrow so keep watching that space) and post it on my instagram- @disha_towardsthefashionworld so you can see how it fits on the face!

Coloréssence Kajal Review

Hello everyone!

Kajal is a must have and your go-to makeup to brighten up an otherwise dull face. We are so obsessed with it that not wearing it for one day makes people wonder if something’s seriously wrong with us! While searching for an affordable kajal that I can use for daily wear I stumbled upon this Kajal Pencil by coloressence.  In this post, I will be reviewing the Coloressence Kajal Pencil. I have been using it since a while now and will give you an account of what I feel about the product.

Priced at Rs.145, this Kajal Pencil is enriched with the goodness of Ayurvedic formula, hence making it suitable for everyone to use. It has a square shaped body which makes it very convenient to hold and glide on to the eyes. It has a really soft stroke and has a cooling effect. It gives a thick dark stroke in a single swipe helping you define your eyes well.

The thick black stroke.

However, the Kajal has failed to impress me as it does not stay for long and smudges within minutes of application making your eyes look extremely shabby. Kajal smears all around your eyes and you will see dark circles under your eyes. In my opinion, it isn’t worth spending your money on.

Not even been 10 minutes and this is the case

  1. Extremely smooth and gives a thick black stroke.
  2. Affordable.
  3. Suitable for everyone since it has an ayurvedic formula.
  4. Glide on once and you are good to go.

  1. Smudges within minutes making face look shabby.
  2. Does not stay for more than 1-2 hours.

I have a number of reviews lined up for you guys. Stay tuned!

Until next time 🙂

My favourite matte M.A.C. Lipsticks

Hey guys!! M.A.C. is on Nyka and I couldn’t be more excitedddd! I’m a sucker for lipsticks, especially bold matte shades! Now that M.A.C. is on nyka I’ve put together 15 shades out of 30-ish shades of matte lipsticks suitable for the Indian skin tone(’twas a tough time selecting these)! I’m not a fan of orange lipsticks or lipsticks with orange undertones, so you won’t find any lipstick with an orange pigmentation in this list. I’ve carefully selected them going through innumerable swatch videos of each lipstick available on nyka to make sure that every lipstick I mention here complements the Indian skin tone well.

Versatile Denim- Part 3

When in doubt, wear Denim!

That’s exactly how I ended up creating this look! The top has speckles of metallic on it and I badly wanted to pair it with a metallic jeans but I also wanted to wear it asap! Now that I wasn’t able to buy myself a metallic jeans(no time) and I just couldn’t wait to try on the top, I wore it with my evergreen skinny jeans! The result is for you to see:

Here I have paired  a sky blue coloures flared top having metallic speckles around the neck with my denim jeans.

To keep the look very much in sync with the current metallic trend I have worn a metallic cuff bracelet and a metal watch embellished with stones. For the neck I have worn a multi layered chain in darker shades of blue to uplift the mood of the outfit.

Thank you for these amazing clicks Smridhi😘
